Whenasophomore,IjoinedtheAssociationofAIEnthusiastandbegantonarrowdownmyinterestformyfutureresearch.In2007,IparticipatedinsimulationtooldevelopmentfortheschedulingsysteminProf.Wang’slab.WiththetoolofOpenGLandMatlab,Idesignedasimulationprogramfortransportationschedulingsystem.ItisnowwidelyusedbydifferentresearchgroupsinNUST.In2008,Iassumedandfulfilledasewageanalysis&disposeprojectforNanjingsewagetreatmentplant.Thiswasmyfirstpracticetoconvertalaboratoryideatoacommercialproduct.

In2009,IjoinedthedistinguishedProfessorYu-GengXisresearchgroupaimingatNetworkflowproblemsolvingandHeuristicalgorithmresearch.SoonIwasengagedintheFuDanGeneDatabaseDesign.Mydutywastopickuptheusefulinformationamongdifferentkindsofgenematchingformat.Throughthecomparisonandanalysisformanyheuristicalgorithms,Iintroducedanimprovedevolutionaryalgorithm--Multi-populationGeneticAlgorithm.Bydividingawholepopulationintoseveralsub-populations,thisimprovedalgorithmcaneffectivelypreventGAfromlocalconvergenceandpromotevariousevolutionaryorientations.ItprovedmoreefficientlythanSGAinexperiments,too.Inthesecondsemester,Ijoinedtheworkshop-schedulingresearchinShanghaiHeavyDutyTyreplant.Theschedulingwasdesignedfortherubber-makingprocessthatcoverednotonlydiscretebutalsocontinuouscircumstances.Tomakeabalancepointbetweenoptimizationqualityandtimecost,IproposedaDynamicLayeredSchedulingmethodbasedonhybridPetriNets.

Thepracticalapplicationshowedthattheaveragemakespanwasshortenedbyalargescale.Ialsopublicizedtwopapersincorejournalswiththisidea.Recently,Iamdoingresearchinthe

CompositePredictoftheElectricalPowersystemassistedwiththetechnologyofDataMiningforBaoSteel.ItrytocombinetheDecisionTreewithRecedingOptimizationtoprovideanewsolutionfortheCompositePredictiveProblem.Thisprojectisnowunderconstruction.

Besides,InJuly2010,IgottheopportunitytogivealectureinEnglishinAsiaControlConference（ASCC）whichisoneofthetop-levelconferencesamongtheworldintheareaofcontrolandautomation.Inmysenioryear,ImetProf.Xiao-SongLin,avisitingprofessorofmathematicsfromUniversityofCalifornia-Riverside,Ilearnedgraphtheoryfromhimformynetworkresearch.TheseexperiencesallrapidlyexpandedmyknowledgeofEnglishandtheunderstandingofwesternculture.
