AsstatedintheInternationalCommitteeofMedicalJournalEditors(ICMJE)Recommendations,creditforauthorshiprequires: 

1 Substantialcontributionstotheconceptionanddesign;ortheacquisition,analysis,orinterpretationofthedata,

2 Thedraftingofthearticleorcriticalrevisionforimportantintellectualcontent;

3Finalapprovaloftheversiontobepublished;

Authorshipcreditshouldbebasedonlyonsubstantialcontributionstoeachofthefourcomponentsmentionedabove.

Participationsolelyintheacquisitionoffundingorthecollectionofdatadoesnotjustifyauthorship.Generalsupervisionoftheresearchgroupisnotsufficientforauthorship.Eachcontributorshouldhaveparticipatedsufficientlyintheworktotakepublicresponsibilityforappropriateportionsofthecontentofthemanuscript.Theorderofnamingthecontributorsshouldbebasedontherelativecontributionofthecontributortowardsthestudyandwritingthemanuscript.Oncesubmittedtheordercannotbechangedwithoutwrittenconsentofallthecontributors.

Inordertorespecttheauthorshiprightofauthorsandupholdscientifichonesty,theauthorshipofCMJshouldbecompliedasfollows:

1/Authornamesshouldnotbeadded,removedandchangedtheorderaftersubmittedthemanuscript.

2/Eacharticlecouldhaveonecorrespondingauthor.

3/Authorsarenotrecommendedtobeco-firstauthors.Authorsinthesameinstitutioncouldnotbetheco-firstauthors.

ContributionDetails

Contributorsshouldprovideadescriptionofcontributionsmadebyeachofthemtowardsthemanuscript.Descriptionshouldbedividedinfollowingcategories,asapplicable:concept,design,definitionofintellectualcontent,literaturesearch,clinicalstudies,experimentalstudies,dataacquisition,dataanalysis,statisticalanalysis,manuscriptpreparation,manuscripteditingandmanuscriptreview.Oneauthorshouldtakeresponsibilityfortheintegrityoftheworkasawholefrominceptiontopublishedarticleandshouldbedesignatedas‘correspondingauthor’.

ConflictsofInterest/CompetingInterests

Allauthorsmustdiscloseanyandallconflictsofinterest,theymayhavewithpublicationofthemanuscriptoraninstitutionorproductthatismentionedinthemanuscriptand/orisimportanttotheoutcomeofthestudypresented.Authorsshouldalsodiscloseconflictsofinterestwithproductsthatcompetewiththosementionedintheirmanuscript.
